Description
2025 Music On CD reissue of this 1992 melodic rock gem.
When this album dropped in 1992, the band’s unique brand of melodic hard rock, (spearheaded by vocalist Marcie (formerly Mark) Free), was quite out of fashion with the musical narrative being pushed by both the major record labels and radio station conglomerates.
Luckily for the band, they were signed to Interscope - which in 1992 was still a rather young startup label, still eager to work with promising bands of this style while they had a keen eye on where music was going. The band's debut release came out just under the wire as the label soon shifted it's focus to alternative music and hip-hop shortly after its' release.
Mostly fueled by word of mouth from fans and press, the album became a bit of a cult hit within the hard rock and AOR community - one of the last truly great albums of this style released before the end of the style's era. It's kept enough of a reputation that even after thirty years, it has garned both LP and CD reissues - including this one.
