Hard rock in America was, by all accounts, dead in the United States in 1994. Despite being dropped in the middle of the golden age of grunge, the lead single title track still managed to hit #7 on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart while the album itself peaked at #46 on the Billboard 200. Tours with Aerosmith and ZZ Top would ensue and would push sales of the album enough to eventually be certified Gold by the RIAA.
